From October 2024, some migrant school leavers will have extended work rights. These people will need to:
Be onshore;
Be aged 17 and have completed highschool, or 18 to 24;
Hold a valid visa and;
Be included as a dependent in an already-lodged residence application (Skilled Migrant Category, Green List, Dependent Child category).
Successful applicants will be able to work 20 hours per week during the school year, and 40 hours per week during summer holidays.
